Ann Curry
Ann Curry is an American journalist and photojournalist who has been a reporter for over 45 years focused on suffering of people in war zones and natural disasters. Curry was a reporter for wars from Kosovo, Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Curry was renowned for the reporting she did about natural disasters as well as war torn countries. Curry's mother is Japanese and her father was an US Navy Sargent. Her father met her mother in Japan when he was a stationed there following World War II. Due to her father's military service, her family has moved several times. Curry finished highschool in Ashland Oregon. Curry graduated from the University of Oregon awarded her an undergraduate degree in journalism. Her exposure to different cultures as well as her experiences throughout her childhood probably influenced her approach to communicating about global issues.
